The North Carolina Songwriters Co-op (NCSC) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the support and promotion of songwriters in the state of North Carolina.  Recognizing the wealth of music created here today, and over the past 150+ years, the NCSC assists new and established songwriters by providing a nurturing, supportive environment, resources for self promotion/marketing information, and by holding workshops designed to enhance songwriting and performing skills.

Our Annual Songwriters Contest
Our most popular event is held each Fall.  Songwriters submit two songs for the contest; finalists perform at our Finale Concert, typically held at The ArtsCenter.

Live Performance Opportunities
The co-op sponsors over 40 live performance opportunities every year for our members, including the Carrboro Music Fest, Eno River Music Fest, our annual membership meeting event, and 36 monthly open mics at 3 locations around the Triangle.
